Mata Vaishno Devi is one of India's most respected religious places. Vaishno Devi, the shrine of Goddess Durga, is located in Jammu & Kashmir's Trikuta hills. It is a cave temple, and goddess Durga is said to have created it to hide from Bhairav, who sought to murder Mata Durga. Vaishno Devi temperature changes based on the season and month. Summers are oppressively hot, and winters are bitterly cold. Nights are always cooler than days, necessitating the use of woolens to keep warm. In general, the best time to visit Vaishno Devi, Katra is from March to July if you want an easy journey with minimal luggage.
